Where to stay near Wembley Stadium for a concert: how to choose the area

An independent, hotel-neutral guide to choosing where to stay for a Wembley Stadium show — by what your trip needs (walking back, an early train, budget, sightseeing), using the three Wembley stations to plan the journey home.

Choose by what your trip needs, not by 'nearest'

As with any venue, the best area depends on your priority: walking back after the show, catching an early train, keeping costs down, or fitting in sightseeing. Pick the one that matters most for this trip first, then look at rooms.

Wembley has an advantage here — it is served by three different stations on different lines, so 'where to stay' is really 'which line do I want for the journey home'.

The areas, read through the three stations

Wembley Park (Jubilee and Metropolitan lines): the immediate area around the stadium and Olympic Way. Staying here means the shortest walk back and a wide choice of newer accommodation, at the cost of being away from central sights.

Central London on the Jubilee or Metropolitan line: best if you want sightseeing and a big choice of places to stay, accepting a direct but longer ride back after the show.

Near Wembley Central (Bakerloo line and London Overground) or along the Chiltern route from Wembley Stadium station: useful if your onward journey or an early departure fits those lines better than the Jubilee.

The journey-home test

Before booking, check the area against the trip home: which of the three stations you would actually use after the show, and whether your last practical service runs late enough. A stadium empties all at once, so expect crowd-management routes to change how you reach a station.

Check current line status on TfL and rail times on National Rail or the relevant operator for your date. Plan the return first, then work backwards to the area.

Book the area, then the room

Once the area fits your trip, compare rooms on what matters for an event night — a flexible cancellation policy and check-in and check-out times that suit a late finish and an early start.

We do not push a single hotel: the right room fits the area you chose and your own dates and budget. Independent, and confirm the specifics with the property before booking.
